Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of service.
Portville Veterinary Clinic requires payment at the time of service. We try to make it easy to comply with our policy by providing estimates and accepting several forms of payment. We know that our prepayment policy can be irritating, but it has become an unfortunate business necessity for us. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or annoyance.
Simply put, we believe that your pet care dollars should be devoted to services and products that add to the quality of care for your pet. We focus on providing services that add to quality care. Staff time is focused on patient care and client education instead of billing and collections.
We know some clients would prefer the convenience of receiving a mailed bill. However, we are a veterinary medical facility. If we incurred the administrative costs and losses incurred at human medical providers because of billing and non-payment, our fees would have to increase dramatically. That would make it harder for our clients to provide the medical care their pets need. Minimizing these expenses and losses helps us to provide excellent medicine and excellent service for reasonable fees.
In order to meet the needs of clients who would like the option to delay payment, we offer CareCredit® extended payment plans. CareCredit® may be applied for at any time, either through our office or by phone. They offer a variety of extended payment plans, including a "90 Day No Interest" option. Please ask any staff member for details.
